St. Michael's News
January 17th, 2025
Congratulations!
Congratulations to many of our Grade 2 students who received the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time on Wednesday evening. May Christ's light shine through you today and always.
Footwear
All students are asked to wear weather-appropriate shoes or boots to and from school for their time outdoors.
Students also need a pair of black shoes for the classroom AND a pair of non-marking gym shoes (these can be any colour).
These measures keep our students' feet warm and dry when playing outside, and keep the classroom and gym floors clean and dry to avoid slips and falls.
Upcoming Events and Activities
Professional Development Day
Please note there will be no school on Friday, January 24th to allow the staff to complete their first aid re-certification.
Friday, Jan 24, 2025, 08:00 AM
Non-Uniform Day - January 30th
Come to school dressed as your favourite animal! Don’t worry, it will be like Noah’s Ark where zebras and lions get along. Please bring a food bank item to support our parish community outreach.
Additionally, the student leadership team will host a hot chocolate sale on the same day! Please bring $2 for hot chocolate if you would like a warming sip!
Save the Date - St. Michael's School AGM
Our Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday, February 6th at 7 PM. Please note attendance for every family is mandatory and a requirement of our Parent Participation Program. Only one family member needs to be in attendance.
Re-registration packages and 2024 tax receipts will be distributed at the meeting.
Childcare will be available at the school for those families who may need it to attend.
