Religious Life of the School
Whole school assemblies continue to take place weekly where the classes come together to reflect on a theme and to pray together.
Congratulations to 2D who presented their Key Stage 1 graduation assembly last week and to 5M who shared their assembly this morning on St Peter and St Paul, whose feast we celebrate tomorrow.
RE Home Learning
Gospel: Heaven is like small seeds growing strong
(Matthew 16:13-19)
Using the Wednesday Word link below, read this Sunday’s Gospel
and reflect on the questions below with your family.
You will have an opportunity to discuss them again next week in School.

- Why did Jesus ask his disciples who they thought he was?
- Why was Jesus happy with how Peter responded?
- How does Jesus reward Peter?
- How did Peter do as the rock of the church?
Nursery Graduation
Last Friday afternoon, we were reminded of the progress our children have made in Nursery since they joined our school in September.
They presented a magnificent graduation before they and their parents and staff shared a celebration party in the Nursery outdoor learning area.
Maths Week
It's Math Week in London! At St. Charles, our pupils dive into a world of thrilling Maths challenges. Yesterday, the children were invited to come to school dressed as a number! Well done for all the very creative ideas and thanks to Miss Harris who organised this at St Charles.
Mathopoly Games
3H kicked off Maths Week yesterday with some Mathopoly games. They enjoyed being challenged and showing off their mathematical skills to their peers.
Once Upon A Maths Story
2D are enjoying Maths Week! Today, we got the chance to take part in a Maths Workshop called ‘Once Upon a Maths Story!’ We made our own mini book that involved all the maths around us had lots fun creating them!
3H To The National Army Museum
3H took a recent trip to the National Army Museum The children got to take part in a Blitz workshop where they learnt about all the different jobs that people did during WW2.
Online Safety and Cyber Bullying
Year 5 were visited by our safer schools officer who spoke to us about online safety and cyber bullying. It was very interesting to learn about the laws around social media and it is helpful to know that the police and lots of other trusted adults can help us if we experience any problems online.
Sports Day
Thank you to Miss Hanley who is busy arranging our Sports Day which is due to take place next Friday, July 5th.
All the children in Nursery and Reception will celebrate their sports day on Monday, July 8th.
Attendance
So far, the percentage attendance this year is 93.7%.
Children with attendance above 95% make the best progress both nationally and at St Charles. Please ensure that your child is at school every day unless he/she is unwell.
We are continuing to monitor attendance and meet parents of pupils whose attendance is causing concern.
School Journey
Our year 6 pupils went on school journey last week. They spent a long weekend in Osmington Bay in Dorset where they got the opportunity to experience a range of outdoor activities. Thank you to Mr Fowle, Miss Gordon, Mrs Hayden and Ms Mei who went with them. They all had a great time!
International Summer Fair July 12th
We are continuing to prepare for our International Evening on 12th July. If you are able to help in any way at this event, please leave your name and contact details with Sophie in the school office who will pass them on to the organising committee
