Scholar's Bowl
The annual Babson Memorial Scholar's Bowl Tournament was held at EJSHS on Monday. The Eureka team comprised of Henry Pfister, Kadin DeShane, Shelby White, Will Fitzwater, and Corinne Nelson took first place!
EHS Cheerleaders Receive Excellent Rating
Saturday afternoon, the Eureka High School cheerleaders competed in the Battle of the Squads at Wichita Heights and brought home an Excellent rating! Well done, girls!
Honored at Reception
The Shocker Honors Scholar Reception was held Monday, November 11. The annual event is held at Wichita State University and recognizes high-achieving high school juniors from across the state of Kansas for their academic success in high school. During the event they had the opportunity to connect with current WSU students, staff and faculty and hear about their experiences as Shockers. Each junior honored was presented with a certificate and a custom pennant to recognize their accomplishments. Representing Eureka Jr.-Sr. High School at the reception were Britta Mongeau, Alaina Westerman, Ava Noble, Harlie Owings, Madelyn Miller, and Lydia Mason. Additional EJSHS juniors nominated but unable to attend were Hannah Perrier, TJ Mills, and Will Fitzwater.

MEET OUR STAFF
Mrs. Castle is in her 36th year in education! She graduated from Benedictine College and received her masters degree from Emporia State University. She teaches junior high English and is also our junior high counselor. Her favorite subject to teach is elementary physical education. Mrs. Castle loves to travel in her free time and her favorite college team is the KU Jayhawks. Her favorite book is 'No Language But a Cry' and her favorite song is 'Dirty Dishes' by Scotty McCreery. Mrs. Castle's favorite meal is fried chicken and her favorite snack is chocolate. A fact many may not know about Mrs. Castle is that she was in a body cast from 2 months to 1 1/2 years old.
