Message From The Principal

Greetings Carroll Community,

We are excited to welcome back our Tigers on campus. I want to share that the week before the break was fantastic; Homecoming was a huge success, and our Tigers showed a lot of school spirit and pride. Our community showed up in the thousands for the Big Game. What a great time it was for all!

I also want to commend our Tigers for responding positively to a refocus on school policies such as adhering to the dress code and minimizing tardiness the past couple of weeks. We have decided to bring back Tiger Time starting Monday, October 21st because of our student response. As a reminder, Tiger Time is a great opportunity for students to attend club and organizational meetings and receive extra tutoring during the day. It is a privilege, and we will continue to monitor and review our students' behavior to determine if it continues.

With that, let’s have a fantastic week in Tigerland! As always, we thank you for partnering with us in support of your child and I wish you a wonderful week ahead!

Points of Emphasis and Reminders

🎫Early Voting at Carroll High School Begins📦

✅📦This is a reminder that Mary Carroll High School will serve as an early voting site for this year's general election. Early voting will take place from October 21st to October 25th, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. From October 26th to November 1st, early voting at Carroll will be from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The voting location will be in the Teaching Theater on campus, and entry will be through Door #3, which is on the Kostory side.

PSAT Day – 📚 October 23rd
ACT Day – 📝 October 29th
Saturday School – 📖 November 2nd

Additionally, we’re offering Night Quest sessions for invited students to support their success in Apex course recovery, HB1416 hours (English, Math, Social Studies, Science), and help with TSI/SAT/ACT/PSAT preparation.

Mondays: 10/28, 11/4, 11/11, 11/18
Wednesdays: 10/30, 11/6, 11/13, 11/20

⏰ Time: 4:30-7:30 p.m.

💃 Community Business Spotlight: Zumama Fitness 💃

A huge thank you to Zumama Fitness for providing fun and energetic Zumba sessions for our students during Hispanic Heritage Month! From the bottom of our hearts, we appreciate your generosity and commitment to our school. It was truly wonderful to see our students having such a great time, embracing fitness and culture together.

We encourage our community to show their support for Zumama Fitness—let’s show them some love for the amazing work they’re doing! 💪❤️

🏀 Boys Basketball Parent Meeting – October 21st 🏀

Attention parents of boys interested in trying out for basketball! We will be holding a Parent Meeting on October 21st at 6:30 PM in the gym. This meeting is for all parents of students interested in trying out for the team. Important information about the tryout process, team expectations, and the upcoming season will be shared. We look forward to seeing you there as we prepare for an exciting season of Tigers basketball! 🐯

🎃 Trunk or Treat Event - October 26th! 🎃

Mark your calendars! The National Art Honor Society is hosting a Trunk or Treat event on October 26th from 5:00-6:30 PM in the teacher parking lot. This is a fun and safe way for our students and families to enjoy some Halloween festivities. Come out, enjoy the creatively decorated trunks, and grab some treats! We look forward to seeing you there! 🎨🍬

🎟️ Sports Event Etiquette Reminder 🎟️

As we enjoy our school’s sporting events, please remember to support our student-athletes by not interfering with their focus through unnecessary conversations or distractions during the games, or by antagonizing others in any way. Let’s all show respect for their hard work and dedication! 🙌

If you see any inappropriate behavior or disruptions, we encourage you to report it immediately to security personnel or a school administrator.

Join us for a fun evening at Chick-fil-A on October 22nd to support The Carroll Arts Programs! ✨ Bring your family and friends to enjoy a delicious meal, and a portion of the proceeds from your order will go directly to our cause.

Parents and students in grades 7-9 are invited to a special event to learn more about CCISD’s high school programs and the district’s programs of choice. This is a great opportunity for students and families to explore the various educational pathways available.
