The Donaghue and Sweetsir School Health Offices will be doing annual health screenings in October and November. These screenings include vision (PreK through Grade 5), hearing (Kindergarten through Grade 3) and BMI (Grade 1 and Grade 4). If you have any questions or concerns or would like to opt your child out of the screening, please reach out to Nurse Jess (jcossette@prsd.org) for Donaghue students or Nurse Ashley (adavis@prsd.org) for Sweetsir students. Seeking parents to co-lead registration for the After School Bradford Ski Program for Winter 2025 and beyond. Nancy Lombart has been leading the program for the past 4 years with other parents, but they will be stepping down after this school year as their children will have graduated out of elementary school! Please email the PTO at merrimacpto@merrimacpto.org if interested. The registration process starts in October so volunteers are needed ASAP. Thanks for continuing the ski traditions!

The PTO is excited to sponsor the Donaghue Fall Talent Show! Auditions will be held after school on Wednesday, October 16th from 3:00-4:00pm in the Donaghue Gym and the performance will be Thursday, November 14th at 6:00 pm at the Sweetsir School. Please fill out the GOOGLE FORM to audition. More details on the performance to follow. Sweestir students will be invited to show off their talents in the spring!

The PTO will be hosting a Scholastic Bookfair from October 1-3 at the Sweetsir School. Sweetsir students will make wishlists and shop during school hours (schedule below). All families are invited to shop at our family night on Thursday, October 3 from 6-7:30 in the Sweetsir Gym (enter through door C8 in the back of the school).

We encourage parents to create an eWallet. This allows students to shop without having to send money into school. Instructions on how to set up an eWallet can be found on our FAIR WEBSITE.

Volunteers needed! If you would like to volunteer to assist students in shopping or to work at the family night, please sign up HERE. A current CORI is required.

Meadow Farms offers a wide selection of high-quality products, including gourmet treats, holiday items, and gift wrap, making it easy to find something for everyone. By participating, your child will help our school reach its fundraising goals, and a portion of every sale directly benefits our students. You can also shop online, making it simple to share with friends and family. The Fundraiser will run from September 26th through October 10th.
