Jaguar Tracks
November 1st
Dear Jaguar Families,
We had a wonderful halloween week and enjoyed the spirit that our students brought to our school! This week, we look forward to our annual Veteran's Day assembly. Our students have been practicing their songs and tributes to veterans and we look forward to recognizing the contributions of veterans within our community. We invite your children to wear Red, White and Blue on Thursday! As a reminder, we have no school tomorrow for Elections Day.
Attendance: As we continue throughout the school year, our schedules tend to get busier and busier. Students are involved in many different activities, our weekends get longer due to travel, and before we know it the absences are adding up. A student is considered "Chronically Absent" when they've had 18 absences (10% of the school year). Which means for students who have already accumulated 6+ absences at this point in the school year are already 1/3 of the way to being chronically absent. We want our Jaguars to be here at school. It is good not only for their academic progress, but their social emotional health, as well! Please help us in supporting your learners by prioritizing their attendance at school!
PLEASE JOIN US FOR BREAKFAST!!
All students are welcome to enjoy free breakfast in morning before the school day begins!
- First through Fifth Grade: If your child would like breakfast, please drop your child off at the Oak Street Door at 8:10 and they can come right in to have a light breakfast in our cafeteria before they start their day. As with lunch, allergy spaces will be designated. If students would like to play outside in the morning before 8:10, they can walk on the sidewalk around the building to the Oak Street door for breakfast.
- Kindergarten: If your child would like breakfast, it will be brought to them in their classrooms after they settle in for their day. To support, please reach out to your child's classroom teacher to confirm that your child will be eating breakfast.
Follow us on Instagram at "JE_Jaguars": We have so many wonderful pictures and videos of learning in action and those small moments that make our days! This gives a nice window into the day in the life of a Jaguar!
Have a great weekend Jaguars!
