Greetings from Groveport Elementary

Wednesday was National Administrative Professionals' Day and we have the very best! Huge shoutout to our amazing secretary ,Mrs. Moeller and out terrific health secretary, Mrs. Riley. We appreciate everything you do for the students and all of us each and every single day! We couldn't do it without you. THANK YOU!

We are so proud of all of our students and how hard they worked on the state tests last week! Students were eligible to earn tickets for showing up each day, spending a specific amount of time on the test, and putting forth strong effort (based on the effort rubric). Students accepted the challenge and almost every student earned all 3 tickets. Students entered their tickets on Tuesday morning and the winners were announced Tuesday afternoon. Check out these ecstatic kids below. Students will have another opportunity to earn tickets, enter the drawing, and win prizes for the math/science challenge.

5th Grade OST Science is completed! Everything went very smoothly. Next week we have 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade Math OSTs. Students need to be well rested and at school each day on time.

Tuesday, 5/7 from 4-6pm - Family/Open Shopping for BOGO Fair plus free crafts to make for teacher and staff appreciation week!

17th = Family Fun Night starting at 5pm - food trucks, play activities, information tables with prizes and give-aways, raffle baskets, sand art, blankets and t-shirts for sale, movie outside at dusk. Free admission!

Cruiser STAR Awards are given to students by staff members for students who show characteristics of being a Cruiser STAR - Stay Safe, Take Responsibility, Act Respectfully, Reach Goals. Students come to the office and put their gold STAR in our Treasure Box. Every Friday, Mrs. Bray picks 15 - 20 STARs from the Treasure Box and calls those students to the office for a prize.
