November 26th Edition
Gayman Shows Gratitude:
This morning, Gayman students and staff came together for a Town Hall Assembly centered on gratitude. This year, our school slogan is TAG, You’re It!, with TAG standing for Teamwork, Attitude, Gratitude. The assembly focused on the importance of gratitude—being thankful for the people and experiences that enrich our lives.
We explored ways to reflect on what we have, express appreciation for loved ones, and show gratitude for the kindness of others. During the assembly, we read Thankful by Elaine Vickers, a story about a child who creates a paper chain with each link representing something she appreciates. Inspired by the book, our students created their own gratitude chain, with each link showcasing a thankful thought.
The completed gratitude chain is now displayed outside the main office as a vibrant reminder of the many wonderful things our Gayman community has to be grateful for. It will remain on display through December for all to enjoy.

Attendance Information:
All absences must be entered through the Parent Portal.
Click here for more information, including directions on how to upload a student absence: Managing Student Attendance.
As we begin the 2024-25 school year, CBSD wishes to remind families of important information regarding attendance. Pennsylvania's school laws, like Act 138 of 2016 and the updated Act 16, outline what is required for mandatory school attendance and procedures to follow when students are absent or late. Learn more.
Early Dismissal for Appointments:
Student dismissal begins promptly at 3:15PM.
If you need to pick your child up early for an appointment, please pick them up no later then 2:45PM. After 2:45PM, your child can be dismissed with the other walkers, bus riders, and car riders in his/her classroom to ensure a safe and efficient dismissal for everyone. Thank you!
Volunteering Information:
To volunteer at a class party or chaperone a field trip, your clearances must be up-to-date & on file with Central Bucks School District.
If your clearances are current, upload them into the App Garden - Volunteer Tracker. If your clearances have expired, or you need to begin the clearance process, click on the Required Documents for the directions. For more information, consult the Human Resources Volunteer Required Paperwork webpage.
Season of Giving:
Each year during the holidays, our community has generously supported Gayman families in need. This year, we are asking our Gayman community to choose a tag from our tree, which is displayed in the front hallway. – You may help by purchasing a gift card for the store your tag indicates-either Walmart, Target, Kohls, or Amazon. Please bring the gift cards to the office by Friday, December 13th, labeled with the value of each giftcard.
We, as a staff, would like to extend our sincere gratitude for your generosity! This is a wonderful opportunity for us to set an example for children to bring joy to others.
Warmest holiday wishes to you and your family,
The Staff of Gayman Elementary School
2025 Gayman Elementary Science Fair:
Calling all scientists! Consider participating in our Science Fair on Thursday, February 6th 5:30-7:00 PM by completing a project individually, with sibling(s), or with partners. Projects must be dropped off on Wednesday, February 5th 4:00-5:00. The Science Fair is a great way for all Gayman students to come together and share our learning and love for science! Click here to sign up by Friday, December 6th. Each participant needs to complete the contract in Forms, even if working in a group. For details, click here to view the informational packet.
If you would like to order a trifold through Gayman for $6.00, log into My Payments Plus and search “Science Fair Trifold order form”. Orders are due Friday, December 13th.
We can’t wait to see your projects this year!
Mustang of the Day Celebration:
Every day one Gayman staff member selects one student to be our "Mustang of the Day"! Students are selected for demonstrating one of the "Gayman 5" character traits: respect, responsibility, kindness, perseverance, and cooperation. - We are celebrating our 1st Trimester winners on Tuesday, December 10th. Families of all the winners were emailed an invitation.
Say "YAY" to Pajama Day:
Friday, December 13th is Pajama Day! Say "Yay!" to Pajama Day by sending in a donation for the patients and families at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
The time for breakthroughs is now. CHOP is on the cusp of life-changing discoveries for children. They are transforming the well-being of children and creating healthier communities throughout Philadelphia and across the world. We are raising money because we want to help make today's innovative ideas, tomorrow's realities.
Donations to CHOP can be made by bringing cash to school on December 13th or online anytime at: Gayman Elementary CHOP PJ Day - Fundraising For Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation
During this season of kindness and generosity, we want to say thanks for supporting the needs of children everywhere!
Report Cards:
Report cards will be available for families to view in the Parent Portal on Monday, December 16th at 9:00am.
Please be aware that teachers will not report on all of the report card descriptors in the first trimester. The descriptors they do not report on will be gray or they will be left blank. This is not a mistake. Students have either not yet had formal instruction on all the skills they will learn this year, or information on that indicator is incorporated into another indicator.
