Dear Beck Community,
End of 1st Marking Period
The end of the first marking period is rapidly approaching on November 11, 2024! Students are encouraged to talk with their teachers about any missing work or reassessment. Students can schedule in our Flex system to see a specific teacher during I&E when they are offering intervention or extra help.
Report Cards will be published in the Genesis Parent/Guardian Portal on November 19, 2024.
Conferences
Parent/Teacher conferences will be held December 9-12, 2024. We will send out specific information on scheduling conferences in the next week. Conferences will be open to parents/guardians to schedule on November 18, 2024 in Genesis.

Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser
We are proud to announce Beck raised a grand total of $1,051 for METAvivor, a breast cancer support foundation for those with Stage 4 Breast Cancer. We are proud of our Beck students for showing their support to those affected by Breast Cancer.

Athletics and Activities
Fall Sports Concluded
Congrats to all students that participated in Fall Sports. A recap will be out soon with photos and a season summary. A special congratulations to the Beck Girls Field Hockey team who made the playoffs for the first time in their history.
Winter Sports Parent Information
Winter sports information is posted on Beck Athletics Website. Winter sports are:

- Cheerleading
*Please note that the Student Activity Fee is not refundable even if your student does not make the team. If there are any financial concerns, please feel free to speak with your child's counselor or the coach.
Afterschool Clubs & Activities
Bridge Tutoring is going strong! East HS students come to Beck on Tuesdays & Thursdays after school to provide 1 on 1 or small group tutoring to Beck students. Any Beck student may attend - please be sure to sign a Bridge Permission slip and then your student can be signed up to attend by their Advisory teacher.

Cherry Hill Public Library Events and Resources
CHPL... it's not just books! The Cherry Hill Public Library offers numerous resources and programming and more and especially just for tweens and teens. Check out the Teen Page for more information about events, homework help, volunteering opportunities and more. Did you know 4 of the Youth Services Librarians are graduates of Cherry Hill??
Beyond that, check out the many activities offered for community members of all ages on their Events Calendar.
Seed856 from Teen Engagement Dept at Katz JCC
Seed856 helps teens develop leadership skills and engage in service learning, empowering them to become changemakers in their communities. The program is open to all 7th and 8th students of all cultural backgrounds. Applicants do not need to be Jewish to apply.
