We hope you and your family had a wonderful intersession break. We are excited to welcome back our students tomorrow, Monday, October 7th and pick up from where we left off!

Congratulations to our Teacher of the Year, Brittney Landreau, our Title I Teacher, and our Employee of the year, April Mitchell, our school clerk! We are so thankful to have them at Challenger 7!

Stop by Culver's in Titusville between 5:00PM - 8:00PM on October 8th for our Challenger 7 Spirit Night. A portion of the proceeds will go to support staff and student events.

Help us celebrate Walk and Roll to School day on October 9th by sending your child to school as a walker or bike rider.

The dates below are the assigned parent/guardian lunch days. Complete one survey PER CHILD for each lunch you plan to attend and include all adults that will be attending to make sure we have space. Click here to review the procedures and more information.

Please note: if you are checking out the student after lunch, the student must first go to their classroom. The parent/guardian will go to the office to check out the child. Then, the child will be called for check out from the classroom. Parents/Guardians are not allowed to take their child out of school directly from lunch.

Parents/Guardians may only eat with their registered child. Other students not registered for parent/guardian lunch may not join a group.

We're excited to introduce this year's main fundraiser, the C7 Fun Run. Our goal this year is to raise $5,000 for walkies and school events to benefit ALL students at Challenger 7 Elementary School.

We’re excited for this fundraising experience because it offers 3 important things to our school community:

1️⃣ User-friendly fundraising platform

2️⃣ Character enrichment program

3️⃣ Fitness-focused event that includes ALL of our students

As a family, you will work together asking friends and family to donate on your student’s Donation Page at MyBooster.com. The best part is, you can still support our school just by SHARING about the fundraiser!

Students will also experience an amazing character enrichment program called “Castle Quest”, teaching students about how to be brave and live with character.

Space Coast Jr/Sr High School is hosting an Elementary School Night at their football game on October 18th.

• All students are invited and will receive free entrance IF THEY ARE WEARING A SCHOOL SHIRT AND THEY ARE ACCOMPANIED BY A PAID PARENT. Parent tickets are $6 each. Students not accompanied by parents will not receive free entry.
• All students and staff that have school t-shirts on to line up before half time, and they will have them and their families to walk on the field during half time to be honored.

• That is also their Pink Out game, if you have a pink school shirt, please join them in honoring those that are fighting, have fought and won, or those that may lost a battle with breast cancer.

Help us celebrate Red Ribbon Week from October 28th - November 1st by dressing up on each themed day below.

Save the date for our 1st Quarter Awards! Awards will be given to recognize students for academic achievement, perfect attendance, exhibiting STAR characteristics, and excelling in activity areas. Students receiving an award will receive an invitation in their report card.

Florida Heiken will be providing free eye exams or vouchers to all families that apply on any

internet enabled device through www.floridaheiken.org. Eligible families may qualify for free

glasses. This service is for students in grades Pre-K through 12. Exams will be scheduled during

the months of October and November. Applications are due by October 31, 2024. See the flyer below for registration information.

The Florida Department of Education developed state education standards and resources to equip students with skills that build resiliency. Each month, Brevard Schools Foundation will be sharing a Resiliency Skill of the Month, along with parent resources from FLDOE’s resiliency toolkit. October’s skill is Honesty. Please see the attached guides on activities you can do at home to foster honesty in your child.

We are a PBIS school. This means we have adopted a set of school wide expectations that define behavior expectations in and around our school campus and classrooms. Being a STAR student means being Safe, Trustworthy, Actively Engaged, and Respectful. When students are caught exhibiting one of these expectations, they earn STAR tickets which can be redeemed for various rewards.

We are continually looking for volunteers to help with school events, field trips, and other school needs. Join the C7 Parents, Volunteers, Families facebook page to stay updated on volunteer opportunities.

To become an approved volunteer complete the on-line Volunteer Application https://www.brevardschools.org/page/volunteers and then go directly to the BPS district office to be fingerprinted with District & School Security. There is a $35 Application fee has been waived until further notice. Please contact Alicia Lenderman with any questions.

We are currently looking for volunteers to help with the STAR Store once a month during student lunch hours from 10:15AM - 1:00PM. Click on the QR code to sign up for the dates you are available.

All birthday treats brought to school must be store bought. For student safety, homemade treats will not be distributed. Did you know our cafeteria can provide a variety of birthday treats for your child? See the order form below for options and pricing. All orders must be submitted at least 10 days prior to the event.

Did you know we offer before and after school care? Services are offered from 6:30AM - 7:30AM and 2:30PM - 6:00PM. We will also be offering additional services for a separate fee during the three weeks of intercession.
