Happy Wednesday!
We took time today to help our students understand the events of September 11, 2001, and to teach them about the many heroes of the day. We taught about the brave first responders, military, and medical personnel, the airline stewards, pilots, and air traffic controllers, the boat operators, and the many people who were simply going about their day when tragedy struck. These heroes, and most certainly saints, courageously and selflessly helped strangers and fellow Americans find safety. Simple acts can make big differences . We encourage our students today, and every day, to make their small part of the world a better place.
Adorned in our Red, White, and Blue, we practiced our evacuation drill and walked to the courthouse. While there, we took time to pray for all affected by the events of 9/11 and all the saints and heroes of the day.
God bless America.
Sincerely in Christ,
Mrs. Tice

- Socks are to be white, navy, or black.

Oktoberfest
In addition to purchasing tickets through the main office, they will be sold before and after all Masses this weekend. Grab a group of friends and join in the fun!
We are also in need of volunteers during the event. If you are interested in helping, for a small shift or the whole evening, please email us at Oktoberfest@saintjohnsch.net.
The intent of this fundraiser is to grow our Angel Fund so that we can pay our teachers the salaries that they deserve. Please help us by spreading the word about this important - and very fun! - event.
Race for Education
Race for Education is Saint John School's biggest fundraiser of the school year. Over the past 15 years, we have raised over $220,000 for our students and its success helps to limit the need for additional school fundraisers. Each family will receive a Race for Education packet this week. Please contact Mrs. St. Amant with any questions. Thank you for your support of Saint John School!
