November is National Gratitude Month and there is much to be thankful for each and every day at Torey J. As a staff we are thankful that you share your children with us each and everyday and we love watching them learn and grow! With Thanksgiving approaching, it’s important to ask your children at home to share what they are grateful for. Wishing you all a healthy and happy Thanksgiving break with your families!

As a school learning community, we are recognizing TJS jaguars who consistently use their "PAWS" at school - Practice kindness, Act safe and responsible, Work hard, and Show respect. Nominations are submitted throughout the entire month and at the end of the month, one jaguar from each grade level is selected and recognized. Today, Ms. Garcia announced the November Jaguars of the Month!

Please join us on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 in the Jaguar Jungle for our annual TJS Sing-Alongs. If your child is in kindergarten, first, or second grade, the Sing-Along time will be from 9:15-9:45 AM. For anyone with a third, fourth, or fifth grader, the Sing-Along time will be from 10:00-10:30 AM. For anyone with children in both Sing-Alongs, please feel free to stay for both sessions. The Sing-Alongs are not performances. They are designed to be special times when we may all come together to sing holiday songs! We hope to see you there!

**Parents/guardians are encouraged to please check the LOST and FOUND items when you are in the building for the sing-alongs. The items often accumulate during the winter months.

Hello Everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving from the TJS PTO! We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy your time with family and friends. We have some exciting news from the library - the new tables have arrived! Earlier this year the PTO purchased and donated tables and chairs to the library. The chairs arrived earlier this year, and the tables were delivered this week. The chairs and tables fit perfectly in the library and are being enjoyed by the teachers and students. THANK YOU all for supporting the PTO to make this purchase possible.

In other PTO news, the Square One Art deadline has been extended until Mon. Dec. 2nd so there are a few more days left to get those orders in. There are still some openings for Candy Cane at the 9:00 am and 11:00 am seatings.

Spirit Wear orders are ready for pickup at Alfred's on 32 Main Street in Madison. They are open until 6pm during the week and from 10am-2pm on Saturdays

Note: If you placed an order for the custom Flow Society shorts, those have been refunded because the minimum was not reached.

Join us for a festive celebration at Candy Cane Lane: A Winter Wonderland! Bring your holiday spirit as kids and families gather to create sweet, edible gingerbread houses together. This year, we’re introducing a new station, Guess How Many Peppermints, where you can win a special holiday prize! Plus, our popular Reindeer Dust and magical hot chocolate stand—complete with all your favorite holiday toppings—are back to warm up your winter day. Don’t miss out on the fun and memories at this delightful event!

The Square 1 Art flyers have been sent home in your child's backpack. Our students created special art projects that can be featured on various items.

This is a great way to support our school, find unique Christmas gifts, and showcase your child's artwork, with every purchase benefiting the PTO.

To find your child's art, use the Art Search by entering your state, school name, and their name. If their art doesn’t appear or they didn’t bring home a catalog, you can upload any artwork from home using Art Upload.
