The SHARK Alert
Chatham Elementary School Family Update
Sunday, April 7th
The school year is flying by and last week was jam packed with community activities. We are incredibly grateful to the CES PTO for sponsoring our special assembly with Mr. Len Cabral on Thursday. Mr. Cabral is a world-famous storyteller who shared some favorite stories and led workshops with our 4th grade classes. This special assembly was the final celebration for our March Madness Reading Challenge. This year's winning book, Odin: Dog Hero of the Fires, was announced at Wednesday's SHARK Assembly.
Speaking of SHARK Assemblies, a big thank you to Mr. Patrick for editing and uploading the March SHARK Assembly. The link is below if you would like to view it. This past week's assembly will be uploaded soon.
Last week, our 3rd graders showcased their skills on the ELA MCAS tests. Grade 4 students are up this week on Wednesday and Thursday. We are confident that our SHARKS will do their best work and make us proud!!
There will be NO SCHOOL during the week of April 15th. We hope you have a wonderful April Vacation and look forward to seeing everyone back in school for Monday, April 22nd.
Be well,
Dr. Kelly

CES Artists @ Cape Cod Museum of Art
The Cape Cod Museum of Art and the Cape Cod & Islands Art Educators Association (CCIAEA) are pleased to present their 20th annual exhibition of Cape Cod student artwork (grades K-12). Exhibited student artworks are curated into this exhibition by art teachers from across the region. Several teachers also have their work on display. The exhibition raises awareness of Youth Art Month, organized by the Massachusetts Art Education Association, celebrating the value of art education and art participation for all children in Massachusetts during the month of March each year.
Ms. Middleton and Ms. Kidd are proud to share that Kallie Gilley, Felix Lapuc and Ashley Quinonez-Perez each have an artwork in this exhibition!! The exhibition is open to the public at the Cape Cod Museum of Art through May 12th. Viewing the artwork of these three talented CES artists, along with the artwork of many other talented Cape Cod student/teacher artists (including Ms. Kidd!), will surely be exciting, interesting and inspiring!
