Easley Weekly Update
Everything You Need to Know For the Coming Week
November 3, 2024
A Note From Principal Hauser
I hope everyone had a great weekend!
Coin Drive For WNC
Our Easley community raised just over $1000 with our coin drive. We have sent a check to The Buncombe County Schools Foundation. Thank you for your participation in the coin drive and for supporting our friends in Western North Carolina.
Kids Voting
Tomorrow, Monday, November 4th, our students are participating in KidsVoting. Each class will go to the media center and have the opportunity to complete a ballot, drop their ballot in the box, and get an "I voted" sticker.
November 5th Teacher Workday
Please be reminded that Tuesday, November 5th is a teacher workday and there will be no school for students.
Easley Holiday Giving Tree
As the holiday season approaches, we often take time to reflect on our blessings. However, not all families find themselves in favorable circumstances and there are children and families within our own school community in need. This holiday season the PTA is continuing the Easley tradition of the "Holiday Giving Tree" to help these students and families.
How can you help? In the coming weeks, you will be able to sign-up online through a Sign-Up Genius for items you would like to purchase for donation. You may purchase the items and return them to the school office. Please do not wrap your donations. Items may also be ordered on Amazon and sent directly to school.
If you have needs within your own family or are aware of the needs of another family in our community, please contact me, Principal Hauser, directly before November 11. I will be able to discuss the needs and maintain complete confidentiality. You can reach me at Jennifer.Hauser@dpsnc.net or 919-560-3913, x13225. You can also complete THIS FORM and I will be in contact.
Thank you for making Easley a great community for our children and families.
