PTO Fundraiser Information
Thank you to everyone that donated to the PTO Fundraiser! Although the ultimate goal of $6,000 was not met, it was still a very successful campaign. The effort raised $5,630 - which is 93% of the goal. Your support of AGS staff and students is sincerely appreciated!

Next Week's Theme: Supporting Others
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
When other people are struggling, you do
your best to help them out.
WHY DOES IT MATTER?
There are many different ways to help
people who are struggling: listening,
taking action, or simply just being there.
Everyone faces tough days and needs
support, and this support leads to a chain
of prosocial behavior that makes us feel
good about ourselves and our community.
“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, what
are you doing for others?”
– Martin Luther King, Jr.
Free Digital Library Card
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we move forward into the school year, we have noticed that it would be helpful if your child had a library card for the Genesee District Library. This is a free resource for all who live in Genesee County, and allows students and families instant access to digital book downloads and audio books. By having a library card, students will be able to access a broader variety of books, which will give them more opportunities to find genres and authors they enjoy.
This year, the Genesee District Library is doing a pilot program with our district to help all students obtain access to digital resources. Below is a link to register your student for a digital library card. We are asking that you please take 2-3 minutes to sign your student up for a digital card so that they can obtain access to audio books and ebooks in their English class. The link closes on Tuesday, November 7, so we are asking you to sign up as soon as possible.

Thank you for helping us help your student get their hands on books they will love.
