I hope everyone had a relaxing Labor Day weekend and were able to enjoy some family time.

The church was filled with purple on Friday as we blessed our Barbour Family theme shirts. This year's theme shirts were donated in honor of Jen Barbour by Josh and Erin Barbour. Jen Barbour loved and was loved by many people. She passed away in 2020 due to complications from Covid. Jen is dearly missed but is looking down on her family with love and support. Thank you to the Barbour Family for the donation of our shirts this year, and we are honored to make Jen's presence known when we wear them.

First PAL XC meet of the season was held on 9-3-24 at Cole County Park by the JC Fairgrounds. The weather was terrific!

All 5 of our returning runners ran significantly faster today when compared to the first meet of last year's season!

The first ever cross country race for our other 7 runners was a great success as well!

We had 1 individual medalist, Lacey Lehmen finished in 27th place.

Our girls team finished in 8th place with 183 points.

Our boys team finished in 10th place with 384 points.

We have one of the smallest and youngest teams in the PAL league, but they are all fun to watch and cheer on! I'm so proud of their efforts and thank you to those who came to support them!

Our next meet will be next Tuesday, 9-10-24 at Country Side Park. We are the hosts of that meet along with St. Francis Xavier. Boys race at 4:30, Girls race at 5:00.

This year, the Cole County Health Department will be here to give flu vaccines to students and staff with consent on October 23. The form is electronic this year. It is a fillable form. You can either fill it out on your device, save it, and email it back to me (sarahb@ststan.net) or you can print it out and send it to school with your child to be given to me.
