Bourchier Mail
School Newsletter - 19th Edition - 24th November 2022
from the principal
Dear Families
Our last few weeks of this year are promising to be busy with much learning still happening. It is so rewarding to see our children here at school being happy among their friends, learning and playing together.
Please continue to send your children to school everyday and give them every opportunity to learn and develop socially.
Hats
Hopefully some warmer weather will come soon. HATS are being forgotten at the moment and we understand as it does not seem necessary in this climate. However it is still important to wear a hat at this time of the year regardless of it being hot or cold …. We can still be seriously affected by the sun’s rays! So please ensure your child has a hat.
COVID Cup
Congrats to our Year 5 and 6 students who participated in the COVID Cup against Guthrie St PS. We were winners again! We all do belong to the BEST school!
Sleepover
Sleepover last week was a great success. The teachers were super impressed with how all our students behaved and nodded off to sleep so easily. You should all be very proud of them.
Books
Our Library is having a stock take at the moment so please send back any books you find at home that belong to us. We would love to get all books back into our library and book boxes during the next couple of weeks. Reading is so important. During the coming holidays it would be great for families to visit our Shepparton Library. It is a great facility for our community to spend time in as well as borrow books from. Put it on your “outings” agenda for the holidays.
COVID
I urge you all to keep being COVID vigilant. We are supposedly in our fourth wave. Remember to test if symptomatic and isolate for 5 days. Please inform the school if your child contracts COVID. We have a supply of COVID test kits so if you have ran out please contact us to acquire some.
Parent Payments
Many families have contributed to our great school by paying a parent payment contribution which we appreciate immensely. These payments help us to provide classroom supplies and many other exciting activities that our children get to experience. If you have not made this parent payment and would like to contribute please contact the office or pay through QKR!
Take care
Kind regards
Denise
