Take a look at these smiling faces. This photo was taken AFTER our school spelling bee this past Friday morning. Seven great spellers started out on stage and in the end only Giulia remained, but all participants remained positive and confident - even through disappointment. That's because they have a growth mindset.

Having a growth mindset is more than just positive thinking. It is the understanding that our abilities and capacity to grow can be developed through dedication and hard work. Looking for something to do during Winter Break and want to start on those New Years Resolutions? Join Wildwood parents Derek and Joslyn Opperman for a free FUN FIT FAMILY EVENT. This event is designed to get our Wildwood parents and students moving, connecting, and enjoying fitness as a community. We hope to see you there!

Derek and Joslyn are dedicated fitness professionals and proud Wildwood parents, excited to bring their passion for health and movement to the school community.

Derek has over 15 years of experience in the fitness industry and is a Certified Integrative Health Practitioner and Health Coach. Joslyn has been training since 2019, specializing in women’s fitness, and she loves creating fun and engaging opportunities for kids to move and play. Both are certified personal trainers through NASM.

Together, they’re thrilled to host a Fun Fit Family Event designed to get Wildwood parents and kids moving, connecting, and enjoying fitness as a community.

We wanted to send a reminder about our partnership with The Oaks Mall and their School Cents program- when we submit our receipts, Wildwood receives points, and at the end of the year we receive a check for our school based on how many points we earn. All receipts dated and submitted Nov. 1 - Jan. 15 earn 20 points per dollar spent! In addition, submit your Santa photo package receipt (located in the JCPenny Court) to earn an additional 1,000 points.

Donate a new, unwrapped toy ($15 minimum value) now through December 20 to earn 500 points for our school. To help with this, our Student Council will be collecting toys. Please drop off donations in front of the school and Student Council and PTA will do the rest!

Logging your receipts is easy! Simply fill out this form and upload a picture of your receipt and they do the rest. You can also email a picture of your receipt to to Cristina Davis at wildwoodcents24@gmail.com and she will take care of the rest for you. Don't forget that the movie theater and restaurants count as well!

This information is not affiliated or endorsed by Wildwood Elementary and CVUSD. Any approved communications (i.e. announcements, fliers) from Wildwood Elementary and CVUSD will be provided directly from the school to you via email, or given to your students to take home. If you ever are unsure whether or not materials are from Wildwood Elementary and CVUSD, please do not hesitate to contact the front office.
