Wilder Blast
September 2024
From the Principal
Wilder Family,
What a great first few weeks of school! Your student has gone around the building learning our building wide expectations and have earned paws for showing the Wilder Way! In our PBIS section you can see our expectations and how you can reinforce them at home! I have enjoyed getting to know you and and your students and I am excited to continue to grow those connections.
As I told your students, learning names is not a strength of mine, I am working hard to remember names, but I might ask to help with the process!
With students in mind,
Mrs. Hangen

From our Front Office, Ms. Jill
- Early next week, I will send home two-sided Student Information Sheets for parents to update, sign, and return. Please sign and return even if there are no corrections.
From Nurse Jill
- Please pack an extra set of clothes including shorts/pants, shirt, underwear, and socks for your students.
From our Counselor, Julie
-
Hi, my name is Julie Bennett and I am the School Counselor here at Wilder. This year I am fortunate to have a Counseling Intern working with me, Mrs. Erica Miller. Mrs. Miller is also our Focus Room teacher. You may hear your children talk about Mrs. Miller helping Mrs. Bennett and teaching some of the classroom lessons. We are here to be of support to you and your children.
School Counselors provide classroom lessons, small group and short-term individual visits to students. Please let me know if you feel your child would benefit from a visit. I can also provide your family with community resources and information about Burrell School Based Services if requested. I am here to partner with you! You can reach me at 417-523-5360.
Attendance
Your student's attendance matters. Being at school on time consistently is important to your students success at school! Reach out if you need support getting your students to school on time daily.
Behavior Expectations
PBIS
Each classroom has created their own PBIS matrix to define what the expectations are in their class. Ask your students about their classroom matrix and let them teach you our expectations!
Attached is our Wilder PBIS Behavior Matrix. PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports. This Matrix helps define our expectations and allows us to systematically teach these expectations and procedures throughout the building.
