MCP: 36th Street Family Newsletter
Week of August 26th
Dismissal Update
Car Line runs from 3:10-3:30. 36th and Wright will be closed from incoming traffic so the carline can move quickly. You can join the car line from 37th and North Ave. into the school’s parking lot at 2:45. We need to keep Meinecke clear so that the car line has a place to exit. All staff come inside at 3:30.
Parent Pick Up from the Classroom is from 3:10 - 4:00. You can park in the surrounding area, walk into the building from the south door, check in with the teacher, and sign your scholar out of their classroom. Please remember, for the safety of our scholars, an adult has to sign the child out.
Late Pick-Up start at 4:01. Remaining scholars will be waiting on the North staircase for their rides. You still must come in and sign them out. The late fee is $1 per minute, per kid. This charge will be added to your scholars account. Late pick-up charges will begin August 28th.
Commitment To Excellence
We will never rest, until our good is better and our better is best. This year we are committing ourselves to becoming a 5 star school. We are asking for you assistance to support this effort for our scholars. We lead with love and the learning will follow. As we are getting to know you and your scholar, please keep the line of communication open. MCP Staff want to ensure that all scholars have access to a first class education, and their classroom is a space where everyone can engage, participate, and grow.
How can you as a parent support this mission. Bring your scholar to school. We cannot teach, who is not here. Connect to your child's Class Dojo. Here is a brief real time view into the school day. You will be able to see when your scholar is earning positive points for being prepared and on task, or losing points for making a poor choice. Please check your scholar's life's work each night, and sign the homework sheet or agenda. Ensure your scholar has on a complete uniform each day.
We understand that life happens, and the more we know, the better we can support. Please connect with the teacher as soon as possible to communicate changes, and how we can support at school.
