LAMBERT
March 2025 Edition

Dear Longhorn Families,
Happy March! We are quickly approaching the fourth and final quarter of the 2024-25 school year; it's hard to believe!
Below you will find lots of information about our BIG events ahead, including prom and graduation. Additionally, next steps in the course registration process (Course Viewing Window) are outlined in detail. Please read through each section carefully.
As we head deeper into Spring, our students are very busy with field trips, athletics, club competitions, Spring performances, and more. Please help them pace, rest, prioritize, and self-advocate when needed. We love offering so many opportunities to our students but also know that they are still kids learning the life skill of time management.
As always, thank you for partnering with us for the success of our students! Hook 'em!
Sincerely,
Amanda Thrower
Principal

Registration activities for the 25-26 school year closed on January 30th at 4:00 PM. The viewing window to see all updated course requests will be open March 3 at 9am - March 7 at 4pm. Students and parents should log into Infinite Campus during this time to view these requests. Please take a screenshot of these requests, as requests will not be available for view after March 7. This is not a schedule; these are only updated course requests. Schedules will be released in late July.
Please note, counselors cannot make changes to course requests during the viewing window. If there is a legitimate error, counselors will make changes after the viewing window closes. Only legitimate errors will be fixed after the viewing window (course input error, missing graduation requirement, etc.).
If your student has too few or too many courses listed in their requests, counselors will call your student down to the cafeteria the week of March 10th to rectify these errors.
If you have questions, please visit the Lambert Course Registration Viewing Window Webpage. The following items are available on this website:
Instructions and information on the March 3-7 Viewing Window

SUMMER ONLINE COURSES
All students are encouraged to use their summer for healthy activities outside of school.
If a student chooses to take a summer course, please remember:
Taking online courses could have a direct impact on subsequent scheduling and sequence of courses for students all throughout high school.
Students are not guaranteed the next course in the sequence if they take a summer course.
Rising 9th and 10th grade students (Class of 2028 and 2029) may only earn 1 credit (1.0 or .5/.5) per semester.
For more information about registering for online summer courses through FVA or GAVS, please visit the Lambert Summer Online Learning Page. Please note, a parent/guardian MUST complete the GAVS Intent to Participate Form on Infinite Campus Parent Portal before a student requests a summer GAVS course. Students who do not have this form completed will have their GAVS courses automatically denied.
DUAL ENROLLMENT
- New for this year–Dual Enrollment placeholders will NOT be visible in students’ course requests during the March 3 - 7 viewing window as they have been in the past. These placeholders will only be added to a student’s schedule once the student has had the required Dual Enrollment meeting with their counselor, all Dual Enrollment paperwork has been completed, and the student has been accepted into the college’s Dual Enrollment program.
-
Starting March 10th, LHS Counselors will host Dual Enrollment Seminars. The DE Seminars are ONLY for students that have applied, completed the DE checklist, and have been accepted into their preferred college. The DE Seminars will be a streamlined opportunity for your LHS Counselors to approve the GAFutures funding application and to answer DE related questions.
PLEASE NOTE: We will only be able to approve GAFutures funding if all of the items listed below are complete and the following items are brought to your DE Seminar appointment:
college acceptance letter
completed and signed DE checklist
your parent must have signed the Intent to Participate Form in Infinite Campus
your parent must have signed your Participation Agreement in GAFutures
The DE Seminars will be held in the Lambert HS Media Center. See the links below to Sign-Up with your LHS Counselor.
