Contractors have been hard at work gutting the Media Center to prepare for upgrades that will help transform it into a more modern learning hub for students.
With block scheduling causing a reduction of school lunch periods, the potential to enhance the original Cafeteria renovations at Stranahan High School by grouping it with the SMART Program enhancements at the school was brought up for discussion by the School Board.
With input from the surrounding community as well as key District stakeholders, options and cost estimates were brought to the Board for review, and redesign of the project and the following PSA Amendment was approved at the February 4, 2020 School Board Meeting.
Today, the project is currently in the Design phase after the original design was refocused to bring the greatest benefit to the students and staff.
The Design documents have been reviewed by the District and are
now awaiting County approval before moving on.
