
EXPERT PANEL AND RESOURCE FAIR

This is a free event for parents/guardians and children 12 years and older
OVERVIEW:
Parents/Guardians and students ages 12+ are invited to attend this multi-part event that will begin with a Resource Fair from 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm, followed by a Panel Discussion and Q&A with medical, law enforcement, and substance use counseling experts taking place from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
The Panel Presentation will include:
Medical Professionals: Exploring the health effects of vaping, marijuana, alcohol and drug use and emphasizing the importance of making informed choices.
Law Enforcement: Discussing current trends in vaping, marijuana, alcohol and drug use and the consequences of illegal activities.
- Substance Abuse Prevention Counselor/Coordinator: Sharing insights on prevention, intervention strategies, and available resources for support.
The event will end with an open discussion Q&A session from 6:45 pm to 7:30 pm, during which attendees will have the opportunity to have any questions that they might have answered by the panel of experts.

Deputy Vince Grillo, Thousand Oaks Police Department
Deputy Grillo has been in law enforcement for 16 years. He worked for the Ventura County Probation Agency for five years and the Ventura County Sheriff's Office for 11 years. He has been a School Resource Officer at Conejo Valley Unified School District for the last two years.

The English presentation will be held in the TOHS Performing Arts Center (PAC), moderated by Gabe Teran from NextGen.
The Spanish Presentation will be held in the TOHS Library, moderated by Alejandra Valencia from NextGen.
