RILINK staff members are here to help school librarians. If you want to update your Destiny Discover site, work on your LibGuide, or have other questions, please reach out to us. The best way to get a quick response is to submit a Request for Help.

We hope that our Summer 2024 conference with Keynote Speaker Shannon McClintock Miller and member librarians provided you with excitement and new ways to expand your outreach to your students and staff! You may view the presentation files here!

To keep our directory up to date, we need your input! Please take a moment to check the RILINK Directory on our site to ensure that your information is correct. Names, contact information, and hours should all be accurate. If you need a change, please complete the Directory Update Form to let us know!

If you are new to your position or would like a refresher, RILINK staff is willing to meet with you in person or via Zoom. Back Office settings, emailing notices, and self-checkout are some topics we can help with. Contact us through a Help Request.

Deadline approaching - If you have not joined the RISOCKS shared collection of over 12,850 ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines, you must sign up by October 1. Contact any RILINK staff member or Renee Lienhard at OverDrive for more information.

I am excited to begin another school year with RISOCKS! My personal goal is to meet with each of you to hear your Sora Story. The East Bay Educational Collaborative is being disbanded and will cease operation at the end of 2024. As of January 1, RILINK will be affiliated with the West Bay Collaborative. After the first of the year, invoices and payments will go through West Bay. RILINK has used the facilities at EBEC for meeting and conferences, and we are looking at how this change will affect future events.

The FY2025 LORI Resource Sharing Certification is open and closes Monday, September 30, 2024 for school libraries. School libraries will receive an email with a link to the school year survey. The email will also contain information about training sessions and support materials. Upon completion of the school year survey, the school library will receive the LibPAS login credentials. (RILINK email addresses will be used for RILINK member schools).

Rhode Island libraries are required to certify compliance with the Library of Rhode Island Standards and Regulations annually to gain or maintain membership within this resource sharing network. Members are eligible to participate in statewide delivery and other resource sharing activities such as FirstSearch and the ILL Clearinghouse.
