Our Path Note Topic
One thing that the First Choice Development Team wanted to accomplish is providing staff, students, parents, and the community a common place for First Choice communication. The First Choice Staff channel is the center of information.
WASD just launched our First Choice Staff channel and will be doing weekly posts each Monday to highlight how First Choice is being implemented in WASD. Starting next week, we will also start posting the Path Note in this channel so you can access district communication in one spot - the Abre Hub!

Piece of the Puzzle
This Week's Piece of the Puzzle is Dr. Diane McCallum. Pennsylvania is in the midst of a process to refresh and renew our Science Standards. In order to support schools and their work to change how science is learned and taught, the Lincoln Intermediate Unit has worked with a team of educators across our footprint to lead science education revision. This team includes our own Diane McCallum, Waynesboro. Pennsylvania is committed to strengthening science education by investing in and increasing access to science learning experiences for educators and students. As part of this work, the Pennsylvania Department of Education is collaborating with NextGenScience, a group dedicated to working with states and districts to improve K-12 science education. Dr. McCallum was invited to serve on the team, and has been spent many hours as part of the process.Thank you Dr. McCallum for serving in this role!
Join us in congratulating Dr. Diane McCallum for being this Week's Piece of the Puzzle.
