EF’ Education Tour in SY 2026
Your student is invited — please RSVP! We’re going on an EF’ Education Tour in SY 2026, and you’re invited! We’re excited to tell you more about the trip we’re planning with EF Tours, our educational travel partner. Please be sure to register for this info session scheduled for Wednesday, October 23, at 6:00 PM to be considered for this opportunity (all meeting details available through link): https://rsvp.eftours.com/93b3ra9
On our educational tour students will:
• Explore sought after destinations
• Participate in activities related to the conference theme
• Have the time of your life! When students travel, they expand their knowledge of the world around them, discover more about themselves, and grow more confident.
These skills are critical for creating the global citizens of tomorrow, and we would love to have your student join us on this adventure. In this info session, we’ll talk about:
• How this opportunity will benefit your student
• What we’ll see and do on our trip
• Everything that’s included in this experience
• How your child can earn academic credit
• How we’re keeping this safe and affordable
• How to enroll on this trip (before it fills up!) during EF’s risk-free enrollment period
There are limited spots on this trip, so we would love to have you attend this meeting to learn more about this exciting opportunity! Please note this is a non-school sponsored trip.
PSAT Testing
All 9th,10th, and 11th-grade students will take the PSAT on October 8, 2024. The PSAT (Preliminary SAT) is a standardized test given by the College Board that helps students in grades 9 through 11 practice important skills in reading, writing, and math. The PSAT will serve as the district's universal screener. To ensure a smooth testing process, please review the following important information:
PSAT Transition to Digital Format
This year, the PSAT/NMSQT will be administered in a digital format. Students are required to use their school-issued Fulton County devices to take the exam. It is essential that students bring their fully charged device and charger on exam day.
PSAT Resources
Students can access additional resources and practice materials through the College Board’s Bluebook application. For the exam, students will use the online Desmos calculator, which is embedded within the testing platform. Handheld calculators will not be allowed.
Important Date:
Tuesday, October 8, 2024 – PSAT Testing Day
Please ensure that students get a good night’s rest before the test and are present at school on exam day. The PSAT/NMSQT evaluates the same skills as the SAT and provides valuable feedback on college readiness. Additionally, PSAT scores can help with AP course placement and, in junior year, determine eligibility for the National Merit Scholarship.
Key Testing Details:
Testing Locations: Students will report to their homeroom for testing.
Breakfast: Available from 8:20 A.M. to 8:50 A.M.
Devices: Students must bring their fully charged school-issued device for the 3-hour exam.
Arrival Time: Students must be in their testing locations by 9:00 A.M. Testing will begin promptly. Students with approved testing accommodations may have extended testing time.
Device Restrictions: Personal electronic devices, including cell phones, tablets, and smartwatches, will not be allowed during the exam.
We are committed to a smooth and successful digital PSAT/NMSQT administration!
