CDL Bus Driver Certification - Monday, 4/22 at 6:00 PM
Hello NOSD Community:
In many districts throughout the State of Wisconsin there have been significant challenges to find individuals to drive buses. Specifically, NOSD has seen a shortage of drivers available to transport student athletes to and from extracurricular events. Last summer, NOSD started a CDL certification program in-house that has helped to address this challenge. Five individuals, including staff members and community members, are currently going through the CDL certification process or have already been certified.
On Monday, April 22nd, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the NOSD Innovation Room (Room 319 in the high school) we are hosting another opportunity to learn more about the certification process to be a driver for extracurricular events here at NOSD. On that night, there will be a chance to learn about the simplified process to get a CDL, opportunities for paid training and certification, and even get in the driver’s seat of a small or large bus. There is no obligation for those who attend and it is simply an opportunity to learn more about how you might consider being a part of the solution. We hope you can join us!
Thank you,
David Karrels
