It is hard to believe we are now in the month of November! This next quarter will seem to go by quickly!

This week, students will begin taking Benchmark tests in ELA and Math in grades 2nd-8th. These assessments are district wide and will assess the standards they have learned thus far in the school year. The assessment will be taken on Mastery Connect, an online assessment service that is integrated in Canvas, to simulate and have students practice taking an online assessment that is similar to state testing.
Fall For Reading is this Tuesday between 5:00-6:30!! We are looking forward to hosting our families through a scavenger hunt with prizes to win at the end! Please stop by and join the fun!
We have early release day this Wednesday and will dismiss at 11:30 for teachers and staff to participate in district wide professional development.
Veteran's Day Program- If you are a veteran or currently serve in the military, or know someone that is a veteran and would like to recognize him/her in our program, please contact our main office and speak with Tina Davis. We are looking forward to honoring our Veterans this Friday morning. Breakfast for our Veterans will begin at 8:00am and then the program to follow at 9:00am. We would love to have our Veterans here at HGSE!
