Welcome Back Jim Ned Intermediate

We are eager to get year 2 officially going for Jim Ned Intermediate! We were excited to see lots of familiar faces, and to meet a few new ones, at Meet the Teacher last week. Our staff has been working extremely hard to get their classrooms and our building ready for another great year. I want to thank you for sharing your students with us and for partnering with us to make the 2024-2025 school year a success! Please take a few minutes to read the information below. Daily Schedule:

7:30 AM - Doors Open

8:15 AM - First bell rings

8:20 AM - Class begins

3:50 PM - Dismissal

*Doors close at 8:20. If you are dropping your student off after 8:20 AM, you will need to sign them in through the front office.

Lunches:

4th grade - 11:25-12:05

5th grade - 11:40-12:20

6th grade - 12:40-1:20

• Doors open at 7:30 AM.
• All parent pick up and drop off are at the back of the building. The car line will flow from CR 160 to CR 131 entering the northwest drive. Drivers dropping off or picking up must remain in their car and in the car line. The back parking lot will be closed during dismissal. Please review the traffic map below for additional instructions.
• Please pull forward in the drop off line to allow for multiple students to exit at a time.
• Bus riders will be dropped off in the front of the building in the bus lane.
• The front drive will be closed from 3:30-4:00 daily to allow for buses.

*Please note that no students will be allowed to walk/ride bikes to or from campus.

First Day of School Drop offs - We ask that you drop your kiddo off in the car line. We will get them to where they need to be and will be happy to help them carry any supplies they might have!

First Day Pick up - Please be patient with us as the first several days take a little extra time. We have lots of new families learning our systems along with the district bus exchange happening in the front of our campus. We want to ensure everyone gets home safely!

• Please make all transportation arrangements through the front office by 3:00pm each day to allow for time to get messages to the student.
• If you are picking up your student early, we ask you be there prior to 3:30 to avoid interfering with the bus lane.

Please display your car tag on your dash to help our staff call your student. If you need additional car tags, please let your homeroom teacher know.

Microwaves are available for students to use in the cafeteria, however, there are lines to wait. We will welcome parents to come eat with their students during lunch on occasion after the first six weeks of school.

Please complete the lunch application attached with your parent packet from Meet the Teacher and return to school so see if you qualify for free and reduced lunches. We encourage all families to fill this application out and return it to campus.

School Lunch Prices: $1.50 Breakfast - - $3.25 Lunch

Lunch Accounts and Balances

Letters will be going home with progress reports and reports cards for students with a negative lunch balance.

Please review our Student Handbook and expectations. Dress code and electronics policy will be enforced.

Student Water Bottles: Students may bring a spill proof water bottle to school. Please do not send water bottles or cups with straws or open lids.

Please remember to bring your ID with you when signing your student out or joining them for lunch. We take our campus safety very seriously and appreciate you complying with those expectations.
