Looking to visit some colleges this spring?
Planning a college visit can be overwhelming! Be sure to check out these useful tips from Advantage College Planning to help lessen the stress:
- Scheduling: use an online scheduling tool because it provides a record of your visit, which can be useful if the college is looking at a student's demonstrated interest.
- Variety: make sure you check out a variety of schools (small, large, city, rural, etc.).
- Don't overdue it: if you visit more than two schools a day, your head will likely spin; keep track of what you like/dislike from each visit to keep each visit clear in your mind.
- Students, you take the lead: be sure you respond to questions, share your thoughts / feelings with parents, and be an active participant in the visit.
- If you're not able to get on campus for a visit, virtual visits are a solid alternative! Remember, keep track of what you like / dislike, just as you would do for in-person visits.
