April 2025 Newsletter

April 2025
Dear North Point Middle School Families,
We have made it to the final quarter of the 2024-2025 school year. We hope that you all had a wonderfully relaxing Spring Break and that your child came home on the early release day with a great experience from the Color Fun Run. With your help we were able to raise over $7,000 for our PTA, but I think the best part was seeing all of the fun that staff, volunteers, and students had on that day during the event. This might just be a tradition that continues.
As we move through these last eight weeks of our school year our focus will continue to be academics, attendance, and behavior. Our students know and understand our expectations in all of these areas. Focusing on instruction, turning assignments in on time, and studying for assessments will help students find success in their academics. Being on time to school, staying all day, and only missing when necessary for illness, appointments, or unavoidable emergencies will keep students on track with attendance. Following our building-wide expectations for behavior in all of our settings will keep students from earning consequences for any unacceptable behaviors. We are looking forward to a successful fourth quarter.
As a reminder, we will be conducting one more session of iReady testing in April on the following dates:
April 9: 8th grade ELA, 7th grade Math
April 11: 6th grade Math
April 16: 6th grade ELA, 7th grade ELA, 8th grade Math
Students will all need a charged Chromebook and headphones for all of these days of testing.
MAP testing will occur in late April and early May on the following dates:
6th grade: April 28 and 29, May 7 and 8
7th grade: May 1 and 7
8th grade: April 30, May 6 and 8
Your cooperation in ensuring your child's attendance on testing dates is appreciated, as it reduces the need for make-up assessments and subsequent class disruptions. All students will need a charged Chromebook and wired headphones for all days of MAP testing as well.
It's a great day to be a Grizzly!
As always, let us know what we can do to support you and your child.

Prop L | Vote April 8
The WSD is bringing Prop L, a zero-rate-change bond proposal, to the voters this April. If passed, Prop L would address key facility needs across the district by:
- Funding enhanced safety and security measures in all schools;
- Renovating legacy buildings such as Heritage Elementary, Wentzville Middle, and Holt High;
- Resurfacing all WSD elementary playgrounds to improve accessibility;
- Replacing turf at Holt, Liberty, and Timberland high schools' athletic fields; and more.
Paid for by Wentzville R-IV School District; Brian Bishop, Superintendent; 280 Interstate Drive, Wentzville, Missouri 63385.
Take Our Spring Measurable Results Survey
North Point Middle School parents and families, please take some time to complete this important parent survey. The survey will close April 30, 2025.
This survey was given to our families, students, and staff back in September and again this month. The survey will be facilitated by Leader In Me in partnership with the WSD. This link is unique to our building, so if you have kids in multiple schools, please check their newsletter to answer questions for that building.
Learn more about this survey and its purpose here. Find the fall results here.
Introducing Hall Pass
This spring, WSD middle schools and high schools are implementing a new system called Hall Pass, which is integrated into the existing Focus student information system. Hall Pass will provide a real-time overview of students who are outside of their scheduled classes, which enhances school safety and organization by allowing staff to see who is where at any given moment quickly. It will also offer valuable insights into student academic achievement by monitoring in-class learning time and aid in managing the supervision of students during the school day/class time.
Wentzville Wow Factor Award
Has your child's teacher made a significant impact on their education and life? Do you want to recognize a staff member who goes above and beyond? The WSD rolled out a new way to honor our staff, and it only takes a few minutes to do. Nominate a teacher or employee for a Wentzville Wow Factor Award anytime throughout the school year to let them know they are making a difference! Nominate a Staff Member.
Become a School Lunch Hero
A hungry child cannot learn. Our School Lunch Hero program aims to ensure no child leaves the cafeteria hungry. Donate to our Lunch Hero program to help WSD families struggling to keep up with paying for school breakfast and lunch. Parents and staff who have set up LunchTime accounts:
* You will see an option for "items, Fees, & Invoices"
* Click on that and "select" School Lunch Heroes
* Type in the donation amount and click "Add to Cart"
* Process payment as you normally would
