VVSD Staff Spotlight- Kristin Jones, 4th Grade Teacher, Jamie McGee Elementary
Becoming an effective communicator is one of the four Portrait of a Learner competencies agreed upon by the VVSD community as a skill our learners need for future success.
One of the ways our learners develop communication skills at the elementary school level is during the daily Morning Meeting. In this edition of Staff Spotlight, we take you to the Jamie McGee Elementary School classroom of Kristin Jones to visit the Morning Meeting and witness how the morning meeting helps improve communication skills and teaches students to be empathetic citizens as they learn about their classmates.
