Family Communication
Hello Otter families,
Welcome back from Spring Break! We hope everyone is rested and ready to finish the year strong! We have about 37 days left, and that is 37 days we are able to make a difference in learning for your child. We want to emphasize the importance of regular attendance and minimizing late arrivals and early pickups from school for your child. Consistent attendance ensures that your child receives the full benefits of their education including crucial classroom instruction, social interactions, and opportunities for academic growth. Each missed day, tardy, or early departure can disrupt their learning progress and can create gaps in your child's understanding of key concepts. We appreciate our families partnering with us to ensure the success of all our Otters!
We have a closed campus this week to ensure our 4th and 5th graders have quiet environment for taking their state writing test. We will reopen our campus for visitors on Monday, April 8th. We will then have a closed campus beginning, April 29th until May 15th to ensure a quiet testing environment for all students.

Automated Attendance Calls
We have been receiving an influx of phone calls regarding the automated calls stating your child is absent from school. Those phone calls were being sent a specific time which allowed time for us to make necessary corrections. However, the calls are now coming as soon as a teacher submits their attendance. This does not allow us to make edits for students who may have been in a long breakfast line or a late bus arrival. If you receive the phone call, please check your parent portal around 10:30 to see if the attendance has been updated or use the Wheresthebus website to check the status and location of your child's bus as students are scanning in and off the buses.
