NMS Welcomes Cromwell Center
All 6th Grade students will participate in the classroom program: Just kidding vs. bullying, human commonalities, respect, and inclusion
From Cromwell Center Website:
School can be difficult for children who don’t fit in, who don’t look like everyone else, who learn differently, or who can’t keep up in schoolwork, sports, or social situations. These kids are often excluded, teased, or bullied.
We are changing this. Our classroom programs have become an integral part of many Maine schools’ anti-bullying, inclusion, and community-building efforts. We work with one classroom at a time so that students can be involved and engaged in a way that larger groupings don’t allow. Because the programs are so participatory, the children are not only program recipients but also steer each session’s direction and drive the discussion based upon individual experiences and existing school and community dynamics. The interactive, lively, hands-on activities allow children to:
- Understand that disabilities are an aspect of human diversity and do not define a person
- Break down stereotypes about differences and similarities
- Explore the power of unkind words, exclusion, and bias
- Identify and roleplay solutions to disability-related mistreatment and bullying
- Practice empathy and inclusion.
Note From Nurse Grant
Colder weather will be on the way soon. Please have your students wear appropriate outerwear as the temperature drops! They will remain to go outside for Wellness time each day as weather allows. Remind your children to check the LOST & FOUND area for missing sweatshirts, coats, water bottles, etc...this area by the cafeteria is overflowing with personal items! Below I have links to information from the CDC on flu and covid vaccines for children. It is that time to protect your family, and others around you, from serious illness.
NMS Honors Veterans
We are excited to invite veterans and their families to our annual Veterans Day Breakfast! This special event is an opportunity for us to honor and thank our veterans and active-duty military members for their service and sacrifice. We encourage students to contact the veterans in their lives and ask them to join us.
The event will take place on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM in the Noble Middle School Cafeteria.
Anyone planning to attend should RSVP so we can ensure we have enough breakfast for everyone. You can RSVP by email lee.leon@msad60.org or call 698-1320.
We hope to see many of you there to celebrate and show our appreciation for those who have served our country. Thank you for your continued support of Noble Middle School and for helping us recognize the importance of Veterans Day.
Family/Teacher Conferences
Be on the lookout for an email to schedule your conference!
Within the next week, you will receive communication from your student's homeroom teacher to schedule a conference. You will have a choice of a remote or in-person meeting. Conferences will take place on Thursday, November 14th and Tuesday, November 19th from 3-7PM.
At school we will have information tables to help with Infinite Campus, learn about student supports from our Student Success Team, and Athletics.
NMS 2nd Annual Color Run Was a Success!
Thank you so much to everyone who helped make the 2nd Annual NMS Color Run a success!

A special shout out to all of our sponsors and volunteers this year! This event wouldn’t have been possible without you all!Haley Rose photography took professional photos during the event! We will post that photo gallery soon on the Berwick PTO Facebook page for everyone to enjoy as soon as all of the photographs are cleared by the school- this is to ensure and respect everyone’s privacy. We sincerely appreciate everyone’s patience while we diligently work to get the photo gallery posted.
