When you submit assignments in units 2, 4, 6, 8, and 9 to the drop box, Turnitin.com will automatically generate an originality report which will appear in your drop box soon after submission (it usually takes at least 10 minutes to generate). Please go back to the drop box and review the report. Just click on the percentage icon that appears in the drop box to open the report (see the image below).

I have attached a guide on reviewing the report. Since the unit 2 assignment requires no research, the score should be quite low (perhaps even 0%, which means there are no matches found in the database).

If you do research and have any citations, they will often appear as matches as well, which is fine.

Any matches that are not direct quotes or citations should be revised, and you can then resubmit the assignment and review the revised report.

Significant matches to sources that are not properly quoted and cited in the final submission could result in a score of 0 and a plagiarism report, depending upon the extent of the matches. Please use the report to help catch any matches that need to be addressed!
