Lansing Elementary Weekly Update

Dear Families,

We have completed our fall universal screener assessments! Families of students who will be receiving additional reading and/or math supports should received information about our reading and/or math intervention programs this Friday. We will have a Title 1 and MTSS meeting on September 24th @ 6:00PM in the library. All families are welcome, please enter through doors 1 and 4 in the front of the building.

Our first meeting is September 26th @ 4:00.

A few reminders:

Arrival & Dismissal Map: Please remember we do not have supervision on the playgrounds before school. Families in need of before school care are asked to contact Y-care.

Our Schedule: Our school day is from 8:30-3:30 (M-W, & F) and 9:30-3:30 on Thursdays. Students are considered tardy if they arrive at school after 8:30 (M-W, & F) and after 9:30 on Late Start Thursdays. If your student(s) is going to be late or absent please call us at 913-727-1128.

Family Engagement & PTA: Our next Parent-Teacher Association meeting is September 19th. The doors open at 6:00 for socializing and the meeting starts at 6:30. See more information below.

Before/After School care: Please see Y-care flyers. Parents/Guardians using Y-care will enter on the west side (2/3 side) through doors 20 & 21.

Please plan to drop off students after 8:00 am (M-W & F) and 9:00 am on Late Start Thursdays. If you utilize Y-Care, please sign students in with them EACH day.

Please follow the traffic pattern and remain in your vehicle (unless buckling/unbuckling) during pick up and drop off. Please position car seats so students are exiting curb side. If you need assistance, please call the office at 913-727-1128. If dropping off after 8:30, please sign in students in the office. If you need to pick up early, please call ahead & have your ID ready.
