Peek of the Week

MAY 22, 2025
Dear St. Theresa Catholic School Families,
It’s hard to believe the school year is already coming to an end! What a joyful, busy, and blessed year it’s been here at St. Theresa Catholic School.
We’ve watched your children grow in so many ways—academically, socially, and spiritually. Whether they were tackling a new challenge in class, lending a hand to a friend, or living out their faith in everyday moments, their hearts have truly reflected the spirit of our patron saint, St. Thérèse of Lisieux, who taught us that small things done with great love can make a big impact.
We also want to send a huge thank you to you—our amazing parents and families. Your support has meant the world to us. Whether you volunteered your time, helped with homework, cheered at events, or simply offered encouragement along the way, you’ve been a vital part of this year’s success. Your partnership and dedication are what help make our school community so strong, faith-filled, and full of joy.
As summer begins, we hope your family enjoys some well-deserved rest, fun adventures, and time to slow down and reconnect. We’ll be praying for a safe, happy, and relaxing summer for all of you.
We can’t wait to welcome so many of you back in the fall for another exciting year together!
Love and Light,
Sarah Fox
Principal

SUMMER READING & MATH INFORMATION
- Each student is expected to read two books this summer from their grade level's book title list. The book list focuses explicitly on texts that help reinforce the 7 Habits and Leader in Me process we are implementing here at STCS. This assignment aims to expose our students to diverse literary genres and topics while fostering critical thinking skills and a love for learning.
- In addition to reading the books, students will be asked to complete a book talk assignment upon their return to school. More information and the book lists are posted on our website at Summer Reading Requirements.
- At the end of every school year, it is our goal for our students to master grade level concepts in preparation for the following school year. In continuing with our plan to strengthen our math curriculum and narrow learning and retention gaps, we believe it is important for students to continue to practice number sense and math ability over the summer. Access to and information about the Summer Math Requirements can be found on our website.
- For rising 2nd-8th graders only
- Students login to Clever using their St. Theresa email and Password to access IXL
- Complete the IXL Summer Boost Plan, comprising 20 skills to ensure mastery in preparation of the 2025-2026 school year
- Must achieve a Smartscore of at least 80 on each assigned skill
