Bear Buzz, October 2024
Mission Statement: Bryan High School, in partnership with students, families, and the community, provides a student-centered learning environment that cultivates character, fosters academic excellence, and embraces diversity to prepare students for post-secondary opportunity and career readiness.
Greetings Bryan Bears!
October was an exciting month filled with remarkable achievements and memorable events.
First, we would like to extend our warmest congratulations to our outstanding students who have made it onto the Academic Honor Roll. With an impressive 595 students earning a 3.0 GPA or higher, their dedication and hard work have truly shone through. We applaud you all for your commitment to academic excellence.
Parent-Teacher Conferences were a true highlight this month. It was a wonderful chance for parents and teachers to come together, share valuable feedback, discuss student progress, and strengthen the home-school connection. We are grateful to all the parents who took the time to attend these conferences and collaborate with us to ensure their student’s success.
Pre-ACT DAY for 9th and 10th graders was Tuesday, October 22nd. This unique opportunity familiarized our underclassmen with the ACT exam format and provided a them a head start on their college readiness journey.
On October 24th, we celebrated the 31st anniversary of Boo Bash! This spooktacular event was an evening filled with laughter, games, and lots of treats. It was a wonderful night for families and friends to come together, showcase their creative costumes, and join in the spirit—we welcomed 971 individuals, and we collected and donated 1000 pounds of food pantry items for our community partner, Calvary Christian Church.
Looking ahead to this weekend, please join us for the fall play, She Kills Monsters. Show times are Friday and Saturday at 7:00 pm and Sunday at 2:00 pm. The Bryan High Drama Department would love to see you there!
Let's continue to embody the values of resiliency, inclusivity, pride, and compassion together. After all, there are many Bears, but only one Bryan High!
Go Bears!
