Dear TGE Families,
Rainy greetings to each of you! I trust this message finds you and your loved ones in good health and high spirits as we embrace the opportunities that 2024 brings. The Kindergarten Bash last night was a HUGE SUCCESS! The students had so much fun! Thank you to our amazing PTSO who put this all together, and thanks to all of our families who were able to come and participate!
GATOR UP!!!
At Toll Gate Elementary, our commitment to student success continues with the ongoing iReady Challenges. These challenges serve as a dynamic tool, tailoring lessons to meet the unique needs of each student based on their diagnostic test results, conducted three times a year. It's an empowering journey that not only stretches their abilities but also fills in any educational gaps.
Teachers in every grade level set goals for growth for students, and they will be concentrating and focusing on helping students achieve those goals daily during E&I time as well as instructional time as we near closer to testing dates (with practice assessments and such).
In addition to that, at TGE from Feb 1 - May 17 (end of iReady testing window), in all grades, teachers will use their data to guide their remediation/stretch. We are going to GATOR UP at TGE!
SCIENCE NIGHT (in March):
I'm thrilled to announce a shift in our schedule, with the Q3 learning walk being replaced by an exciting Science Night dedicated to sparking curiosity and exploration for both students and families. As we approach the end of the school year, the Q4 learning walk will offer another fantastic opportunity to witness the growth and accomplishments of our students.

Reflecting on my goals as the new principal, I've aimed to enhance family engagement through initiatives brought forth by PTSO, quarterly learning walks, our science night, etc. To further support this, I invite you to share your thoughts by taking a brief survey, helping us tailor our efforts to meet the needs of our wonderful Toll Gate Elementary community.
