Note from Karen
I am missing everyone and are super proud of all staff and tamariki. Very proud of all tamariki participating at different events over the noncontact time and over the last two weeks, especially the Kapahaka which I watched by livestream today. Have a fabulous weekend everyone.
Thank you
Last week a group of staff from Ballance Agri Nutrients spent two days in the nature trail repairing bridges and adding in a seating area that can be utilised as an outdoor classroom. Thank you so much to Ballance for their ongoing support for the school.
Congratulations to our fabulous Support Staff
Congratulations to Michelle Allison and Rebecca Collins who recently passed the Better Start Literacy Approach Microcredential through the University of Canterbury. Both Michelle and Rebecca have been using this new knowledge to work with groups of students on oral language and early literacy instruction and assessment.
Also congratulations to Astrid Bocock and Jill Helms who also recently completed the Incredible Years Classroom Management Programme for Learning Assistants. This programme aligns with our Positive Behaviour for Learning strategies here at IPS.
Well done to you all!
Tatarakihi Kapahaka Festival
Tu meke tamariki ma o Te Moa for your awesome effort today at the Tatarakihi Festival. All of your hard work paid off and you represented yourself, your whānau and our kura exceptionally. You should be proud of yourself with the way you came together as a team! We were lucky enough to witness other amazing performances throughout the morning. A special thank you to Whaea Mel for being there to support us playing our waiata and sharing her wisdom. Thank you for Whaea Donna's daughter for coming along to support the tamariki. Also, thank you to Whaea Tracy for being an awesome photographer taking amazing photos - which you can find on our school facebook page.
