Update on Sale of Audubon Elementary
The District has received three offers for the sale of the former Audubon Elementary School at 2765 Egypt Road, and is currently negotiating the terms of a proposed agreement with the highest bidder. In September 2024, the Board of School Directors authorized the administration to pursue a private sale of the 14-acre property which includes the 55,000-square foot building. Once the District reaches a final agreement for the sale, the Board will review for approval. If approved, the District will then move forward with the legal steps, including a court petition, public notices, and a hearing to secure court approval for the sale.
MHS Esports: A Year in Review
The Methacton High School Esports team shared some exciting updates about their successful inaugural year with the Board of School Directors. The program, which is now in its spring season, provides students with an inclusive, engaging and skill-building extracurricular experience. The students compete in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Esports Association (PIEA) League, showcasing their talents in Overwatch 2, Valorant, and Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Currently, the Overwatch 2 team is undefeated and on track to winning their division for the spring season!
The team's coach, Ms. Whitehouse, says the program has been instrumental in fostering teamwork, strategic thinking, and problem-solving while offering students—most of whom had never participated in traditional sports—an opportunity to represent their school. Additionally, three players have already been scouted by universities for potential Esports scholarships. A heartfelt thank you to our Board, the Methacton Education Foundation, and the students and staff for supporting this initiative! We can't wait to see what the future holds for Methacton Esports.
M Awards Presented to Varsity Cheerleading Team
They are now back-to-back PAC Champions, and we're looking forward to another title in the 2025-2026 school year!
