As a reminder, the first two snow days of the school year operate as traditional snow days – we have one remaining. If both snow days are used, any subsequent closures will transition to FID Days, where you will learn from home.

This year, the District has moved from the Zoom platform to Microsoft TEAMS. TEAMS is user-friendly and functions similarly to Zoom. Teachers have guided students on how to access TEAMS links in Schoology courses in the event we have a Flexible Instruction Day.

Henderson Bocce Moves On!

Henderson’s Unified Bocce teams went a combined 20-2 this season in the regular season. The Garnet team finished 11-0. The team is preparing and looking forward to the Chester County Championship which will take place at Unionville High School on February 25th. The team raised money at the Philadelphia Polar Plunge, raising over 26,000 dollars to benefit the Special Olympics. Henderson was the largest fundraiser in the greater Philadelphia area!

HHS Outdoor Classroom 2025!

Henderson is building an OUTDOOR LEARNING SPACE in 2025, and we need YOU!

Are you experienced in construction or landscaping? Do you have other useful skills? If yes, we are looking for members of the HHS community to assist us as we build our outdoor learning space this spring.

If you would like to help with the project, please email Marie Schneider (mschneider@wcasd.net) and include ‘Outdoor Learning Space’ in the subject line.

Spring Sports 2025: Information from the Athletic Director

Please see the information below for important dates and information regarding 2025 Spring Sports registration. The week of February 24 please look for another communication that outlines specific days, times, and locations for each sport. If you have questions regarding voluntary opportunities leading up to the official start, please contact our coaches directly.

Spring Sports Official Start dates

● Monday, March 3, 2025

Family ID and PIAA Physicals

● Registration- All prospective student-athletes must be registered through Family ID and have a physician-signed and valid physical PIAA Section 6 & 7 form dated after May 1, 2024. The physical must be uploaded to their account.

○ Please complete the registration process by Friday, February 21, 2025, to ensure you are approved and cleared to participate on the official start dates.

○ Only athletes approved by our athletic training staff will be permitted to practice on the official start dates. After February 21, any families that are missing information will be contacted by our athletic training staff informing them exactly what they are missing. If you have questions regarding physicals and your account, please contact our athletic training staff:

Henderson Music Continues to Excel

The Henderson music department is proud to announce that 3 of the 6 Henderson Students who participated in PMEA District 12 Orchestra this past weekend moved on to the PMEA Region 6 Orchestra Festival in February at GAMP in Philadelphia. We live in a highly competitive area of the state, so this is a major accomplishment. In addition, 2 of the 3 students went in as 1st chair and maintained their status. Girard Academic Music Program (GAMP) in Philadelphia will be held from 2/20 to 2/22. The concert is February 22nd at 11 AM.
