7 Mindsets We Are Connected
Welcome to November
Message from WAVA Executive Director
Students and Families
We are already going into the month of November at WAVA! We are proud of how well our students have adjusted to a new school year, are ready to learn, attending scheduled classes on time, and working hard in and out of the classroom. Thank you learning coaches for your continued support and partnership with our teachers. Your participation and communication is what makes WAVA a success! Our school administrators and teachers look forward to working with your students each day. If you ever are in need of support, have questions or need direction, please reach out. We are all here to help you and your learner have the most success this school year.
Our WAVA Clubs began last month. We have successfully kicked off clubs for students that are meeting weekly! If your student is looking to socialize and connect with others, please encourage them to attend a WAVA Club. You can find the full schedule and contact details for our club leaders on the WAVA Bulletin Board Clubs Page! Our WAVA and National Zone are also a great place for connecting and open M-F! Find out more about the zone here. We have Counselors at WAVA for all grades and you can connect with them at any time. Students can also compete in National Contests, currently we have a Game On Challenge and registration for an Innovation Challenge! Get involved and attend a WAVA Outing, these are great opportunities to meet other WAVA students!
Counselors provide support to students with office hours, options support sessions, social and emotional learning content and 7 mindsets information.
In November we have National Recognition we highlight, this month is Veterans Day, a month of gratitude, National Native American Heritage Month, and more. If you would like to highlight a special story in your life that applies to November please submit to https://elevate.press/link.
Have a wonderful month!
Sincerely,
WAVA Executive Director, Susan Boyer
