Happy December!
Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great break and were able to spend time with family and friends. We have a busy month ahead of us!
As we are nearing the end of the semester, please make sure to keep a close eye on your child's grades and attendance. Every day matters and each assignment counts! If you need help with your Infinite Campus parent portal, please let our office staff know.
Morning Drop Off
Please make sure to drop your students out back at the drop off line. Everyday, we have 3-4 staff members outside to welcome your child into the building. If, on special circumstances, you need to drop your child off out front, please park in a parking spot and wait for ALL busses to unload to do so. We appreciate your help with this! Thank you!
Mrs. Steenrod's Well Wishes Event
Every year, I host a Well Wishes Event at the elementary. This is a completely free event and the students will get to visit with Santa, complete 3-4 crafts and enjoy a light snack. Mrs. Steenrod's Well Wishes Event is Friday, December 13th from 5:00P.M.-7:00P.M. NYES Holiday Shop will also be open to the public at this time!

Preschool Family Needs Survey
Attention Preschool Parents and Caregivers: You may not know this but our preschool program has to follow many different guidelines, outside of the guidelines of a city school district. We are also required to follow Step Up to Quality Guidelines. Last year, our Nelsonville-York Preschool program received a 5 out of 5 Star Rating for Step Up. This requires paperwork to be collected by our teachers and staff. Recently, Step Up released a new form that is required for our program. It is a Family Needs Survey that is to be filled out by caregivers of the students in our program. It will be sent home this week. Please be looking for it in your child's folder. Please let me know if you have questions and we certainly appreciate all your help with this. Thank you!
