CELEBRATIONS
Great things are happening at WCS!
Basketball tryouts were this week and we had an amazing turnout! For the first time, WCS has a Girls Team, a Boys Team, and a Co-Ed B Team! Thank you to all of the students who are excited to play, it's going to be a fantastic season!
THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE
We are accepting food donations on behalf of the Bath Area Food Bank. Their greatest needs are canned cranberry sauce, canned sweet potatoes, and boxed mashed potatoes. If you are able to donate any of these items, we would appreciate it! A box will be located in the lobby of the school and on each floor. Food will be accepted though next Wednesday, 11/20.
INCOGNITO TURKEY CONTEST
It's November, and that means that the turkeys are getting nervous! Students have been sent home with blank turkeys to decorate for the PTA Incognito Turkey contest. Students should color their turkeys so they can remain disguised through Thanksgiving. Completed turkeys can be turned in to the entry box outside the office no later than next Friday, 11/22, for a chance to win a prize.
CONFERENCE SIGN UP
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held from 12-6pm on Monday, November 25th. Parents are encouraged to sign up for a chance to meet with their student's teacher(s). To select an appointment time, click the following link, or visit our school website to find a link there. If you are not able to find a time that works for you, please reach out to your student's teacher to coordinate another date/time to meet.
WCS SPIRIT WEEK
Join us in celebrating our "Wildcat Pride" during WCS Spirit Week: NEXT WEEK!
TODAY A READER, TOMORROW A LEADER!
Students in Mrs. Smith's class have the opportunity to practice their literacy skills using either their "reading glasses" or a "read-o-phone." While the glasses may not have lenses, once students put them on, they are able to focus better on their reading. The read-o-phone (a hollow piece of pipe) allows students to hear their own voice as they read the text aloud.
