Board Report October 2024

• The Maintenance Department is staying busy completing work orders on a daily basis.

• Mike Hayes, David Adams, and a Trane Technician are in the process of repairing a large unit above the BHS storm shelter.

• We need rain but our grounds crew found several other tasks to complete. They have been trimming trees so they will not rub the roofs and also repaired the walkway bridge at the park.

• The Transportation Team has all the routes in full swing. We are still looking for a bus driver to fill an opening and we can always use extra substitute drivers as well.

• Overhead Door and Maintenance replaced one Ag Shop roll-up door and installed a new motor on the other door.

• The tech department continues to stay busy with tech tickets and resolving issues.

• Carlito is teaching high school students how to repair Chromebooks. He visits their class 2-3 times a week to train and check on resources/parts. Stephanie is also taking some of the BHS Tech Student-Aides with her as she resolves tech issues on campus.
• The guys will be attending the System Administration Conference in Georgetown during the first week of November.

Please drive by and see the progress:

1. A new Atmos gas meter was set at the back of the building after the removal of a nearby tree. The gas line from the meter to the building was rerouted away from the storm shelter construction area.

2. The main site is being graded and compaction tested.

3. The piers are being drilled, filled with steel reinforcement, and poured.

4. The forms for the remaining curbing, sidewalk, and fire lanes are being set.
