END OF SCHOOL YEAR REFLECTION
As the school year ends, our LSE family will experience the following changes in staffing:
- Ms. Lanni, special education instructional assistant, and Ms. Peck, art teacher, are retiring from CCPS, effective June 30, 2022. We are appreciative of Ms. Lanni's and Ms. Peck's dedication to our students and school community.
- Mr. Thompson, health education teacher, will be transferring to Eldersburg Elementary.
- Ms. Vucich, special education teacher, will be transferring to Westminster Elementary.
We wish Ms. Lanni, Ms. Peck, Mr. Thompson, and Ms. Vucich all the best on their new adventures!
Please join me in welcoming the following new staff to LSE:
- Ms. Amy Eisenbeiser and Ms. Kristi Lago are joining the LSE family as new first grade teachers. Both Ms. Eisenbeiser and Ms. Lago are experienced educators joining us from Anne Arundel County Public Schools.
The following staff will assume different roles next year:
- Ms. Kim Crum-Derr, who currently serves LSE and two other schools as an itinerant art teacher, will be our new full-time art teacher.
- Mr. Dalton Yohn, currently teaching first grade, will be teaching fifth grade next year.
- Ms. Becca Zarrelli, currently teaching fourth grade, will be teaching third grade next year.
I wish everyone a wonderful and safe summer break. We look forward to welcoming all of our LSE Super Stars back to school on Tuesday, September 6, 2022!
~Mr. Messier, your very PROUD principal
HEALTH ROOM UPDATE
As we head to the end of the school year, I want to send some reminders concerning medications in the health room.
If your child has medication in the health room, please pick it up no later than Monday, June 13th. Medications can be picked up from 8am until 3:30 pm. Any medications left in the health room will be discarded by Friday, June 17th. It must be an adult that picks up the student's medication. Students are not permitted to carry medication home. Please contact the nurse at artwigg@carrollk12.org if you need to make other arrangements to pick up your child’s medication.
Please remember to send your child in with a water bottle. As the temperatures have warmed up, it is important for your child to stay hydrated.
Wishing everyone a wonderful, safe, and healthy summer!
~Nurse Twigg
LAST CALL: LOST & FOUND ITEMS
We will display lost and found items during lunches in hopes to return lost items to their owners. All lost and found items not collected by June 13, 2022 will be donated.
NEWS FROM THE ART ROOM
I have been the part time art teacher for a few years here at Linton and I am so very happy to become the full-time art teacher next year. I am sad to see Ms. Peck retire but she promises she will sub in the future and students may still get to see her on those days. I will try to continue many of the traditions and projects that she created here at Linton over the years.
Fourth and Fifth grade clay cupcakes are coming home soon. Some classes may have brought them home already. We celebrate all their hard work . Be sure to ask them all about the firing process and the new vocabulary they learned about clay and Wayne Thiebaud, our featured artist.
~Ms. Crum-Derr
NEWS FROM THE MUSIC ROOM
Mrs. McCusker, Mr. Collins, and Ms. Reddinger would like to thank the LSE families for their support of all the musical opportunities and performances this year! It was a joy to see our students performing on stage again. We look forward to working with your children again next year!
REPORT CARDS & SCHOOL SUPPLY LISTS
School supply lists for next school year will be included within the report card envelopes and posted on the LSE website following the last day of school.
