Congratulations to Matthew Miner for coming in as 1st Runner Up for the Lone Star Winds Concerto competition this past Friday. This is a HUGE accomplishment and he is one of the BEST saxophonists in Texas...and a pretty great guy too.

Congratulations to the Symphony Orchestra and Wind Symphony on their breathtaking performances at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center on Saturday. Such a great hall to play in. Next stop....Carnegie Hall!

The Jazz Band will present a Swing Dance on Saturday, April 13th at 6:00 PM here in the Wylie High School Cafeteria. Tickets will include admission and a group swing dance lesson, followed by a great night of dancing and music! There is an optional meal available at an additional cost. We will have a whole bunch of silent auction items for you to bid on! Eddie Lewis will join the kiddos as a guest artist on trumpet.

Tickets are $10-15 depending on premium seating. It is a full band fundraiser, so please consider attending and/or volunteering! Lots of student and parent volunteers will be needed, so stay tuned for more information.

• We will have buses to DFW airport. SEE THE FLIGHT LIST ON THE GOOGLE ORGANIZATION SHEET TO SEE WHICH BUS YOU ARE ON TO THE AIRPORT.
• NO buses when we return. Have your parent pick you up from the airport.
• Those traveling with family can ride to the airport with family or ride the bus to the airport.

I have been approached by a group that travels in the summer overseas with some of the most talented band and choir students from the North Texas area. This is a once in a lifetime experience that requires a nomination from me. There will be a meeting for those interested in a couple weeks. Click below for initial information. I will be helping rehearse this group and travel with them in the summer of 2025. Below are the dates:
