Dear Cypress Cubs,

I'm in awe of how we are already at the end of the school year!

We have so many events occurring as we wrap the school year up. Should you be attending and decide to check out your child early from regular school hours, please make sure to check out with TEACHER at the classroom. This helps to expedite the checkout process so that you can be on your way faster!

It was great seeing so many students having a complete blast at this year's End of the Year FOAM RUN! Thank you to all who generously donated to this event as it goes directly to your children. This will be supporting Field Trips in the new year!

REMINDER:

Elementary summer school is being offered by invitation only. Invitations will go out through ParentSquare from the Educational Services Department to students in Kindergarten through 4th grade, if your student qualifies. Unfortunately, we are unable to manually sign up our students. But, we can help you with the ParentSquare app if needed! So, come on in if you need help!

Although there are only 4 days left, we continue to strive for academic excellence and growth, consistent ATTENDANCE plays a crucial role in your child's success. We kindly remind all grownups of the importance of ensuring their child attends school each day unless they are ill. In the event of illness, please remember to promptly notify the school office at 626.974.4300. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated as we work together to support our students' learning journey.

Cypress hold a Career Day on Friday, May 24th. We would love to thank you to our fabulous presenters for spending some time talking with our CUBS from a variety of career backgrounds.

CUBS celebrated their reading success on Thursday, May 30th. Thank you to all volunteers for making it happen.

Final Parent Workshop event at Merwin Elementary School

Please prioritize the safety of our school community by strictly adhering to the parking lot rules. Following traffic guidelines and reducing your speed is crucial for a secure and efficient drop-off and pick-up process. Your commitment to these rules ensures a safe environment for our students and their families and contributes to the overall well-being of our school community. Thank you for your cooperation in maintaining a secure and orderly school environment.

At this time, the middle lane will remain closed, beginning at 8:00 AM. Please plan accordingly. Breakfast begins at 7:40 AM so you are more than welcomed to drop off earlier to beat the traffic. If you are parking, please be mindful when backing up and exiting the parking lot, in a safe manner.

District K-5 schools have a mandatory uniform/standardized dress policy adopted by the Board of Education. This policy provides an opportunity for students to dress neatly for school, and it helps students to look at others’ character instead of their attire.

Due to slipping and tripping issues, crocs and sandals are NOT ALLOWED as they are a safety hazard.
