Dear Titus Family,

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, I wish to take a moment to share how thankful I am for our Titus. I am not only a proud principal, but a deeply grateful one, for the many ways we all make our school a vibrant, caring, and inspiring place for our students.

This week marks two years since I came to Titus, and it is fitting that I can reflect on my anniversary during a holiday when we acknowledge our gratitude. In these two years, I've seen so much growth, kindness, and collaboration across our halls, and I feel so fortunate to be part of this special community.

Thank you to our dedicated teachers, staff, supportive families, and especially our amazing students, who remind us every day of the joy of learning, discovery, and connection.

Hi Titus Community-

We talked to the students about how this week will be a “grind.” With the Thanksgiving break upon us, we reminded everyone that this 5-day week was all about being laser focused and continuing to do their job at school. Our Titus students rose to the occasion. I loved seeing Mr. Chadbourn’s class work together in groups to try and build the most stable floating device. Mrs. Williamson’s class is working on persuasive writing that involves writing to the Macy’s Balloon Committee to persuade them to consider their balloon for next years parade. Lastly, I was able to see our tremendous first-grade teachers lead the whole grade level in the core 4 components of Reading Horizon (Review, instruction, dictation, and transfer)

We had some really nice weather this week, so I was able to get outside and join the kids for some fresh air. I look forward to seeing many of you as you come in for conferences next week. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

The time has come to sign up for our First Trimester Reporting Conferences!

Our conference for the fall will be held in person. Below you will find a link to the teacher’s schedule.

Please ensure you are choosing the correct STAFF member you would like to schedule with.

Once the teacher is chosen, you will be able to see all the available time slots per the calendar and can pick the time that works best for you.

Once submitted, you will be able to add an additional booking for a different teacher.

Lastly, you will receive a booking confirmation email where you can reschedule or cancel your time, if necessary. For a video walking you through the steps, please click the button below.

We are an "A" or early school, and our hours are 8:35 AM to 3:15 PM.

The morning kindergarten session hours are 8:35 AM to 11:10 AM.

The afternoon kindergarten session will run from 12:40 PM to 3:15PM.

Please be aware that the school day begins at 8:35 AM in your child(ren)'s classroom(s). If you are a car rider in the morning, it is recommended that children are dropped off no later than 8:30 AM in order to get to their classrooms for the start of the school day at 8:35 AM. If a student arrives in their classroom beyond 8:35 AM, they are considered tardy. Parents will need to come into the building to sign their child in if they arrive after 8:35 AM.

The adults supervising the car-rider drop-off line will be on duty until 8:32 AM. Students dropped off after 8:32 AM will more than likely not be able to make it to their classrooms on time for the start of the school day at 8:35 AM. Also, for safety reasons, students arriving to school prior to 8:15 AM, need to be supervised by their parent/caregiver. We ask that all students wait with their family member in the drop off line until 8:15 AM.

In honor of Education Support Professionals Day on Nov. 20, many of our district and school admins came together to share their gratitude for the immense contributions of our support staff members across various departments and roles on behalf of schools and students. From ensuring our buildings are safe and clean, to providing meals, transportation, and technology support, to assisting and caring for our most vulnerable students in our classrooms and beyond—these team members are the heart of our district! A Flexible Instructional Day (FID) is designed for situations where school buildings need to close due to weather or other emergencies, but learning can still continue at home. Utilizing a FID allows us to avoid extending the school year or disrupting the instructional calendar as well as provides an opportunity for students to practice their skills and become more independent learners. Elementary and secondary students and families have certain expectations should a FID be necessary. Families of students who will be eligible for kindergarten in CBSD in 2025-26 are now able to register online. Families of students in any grade who will be new to CBSD in the 2025-26 school year are also able to register. Learn more about registration here and start a new registration application here.

If you are a volunteer with a local fire company or nonprofit emergency medical service agency, CBSD wants to thank you for your service by helping reduce your property taxes as a result of a newly enacted Volunteer Service Tax Credit Program passed by the School Board in Sept. 2024. To qualify for the tax credit, volunteers must be active members of an eligible fire or emergency medical services agency and earn points based on their service. Learn more

New This Year: Limits on Due Dates for Homework and Summative Tasks Near Observances

In past years, the district has notified faculty in the week or weeks prior to religious or cultural observances to ensure they are cognizant of these events when assigning schoolwork. This year, the district has shared a year-long calendar of these observances with faculty and set guidelines on when no homework or summative tasks should be due.

The Central Bucks Education Foundation is an independent nonprofit that raises funds and builds community partnerships for CBSD and its 23 schools with the mission of providing access to resources and creating opportunities that enrich the teaching and learning experience throughout the district. Due to a generous donor, CBEF is proud to offer a needs-based "Holicong Road Scholarship" of up to $50,000 annually to a current senior at CB South, CB East, or CB West who is graduating in June 2025 and plans to attend a 4-year college or university in summer or fall 2025. The scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student with demonstrated financial need who has a strong academic history and is actively involved in school activities or within the community. As we begin the 2024-25 school year, CBSD wishes to remind families of important information regarding attendance. How the CB Education Foundation Supports Students

The Central Bucks Education Foundation is a local non-profit whose mission is to enrich the experience of CB students and teachers by funding innovative educational opportunities, grants, and scholarships. Titus will expect all potential volunteers to complete their paperwork for clearances prior to assuming any volunteer/chaperone role within the school. This will ensure we are in line with district and state expectations.

Who Needs Clearances: An individual who is responsible for the child's welfare or has direct contact with children. Pennsylvania law requires all persons having direct contact with school children to obtain background checks and clearances. In the best interest of the safety and security of our students, Central Bucks School District required the submission of these clearances prior to volunteering during the school year. Approved volunteers are given an identification card to be presented at the school (along with your photo ID, such as a driver's license) when volunteering. Please allow 7-10 days after you have submitted your online application for receipt of the ID card.

Create a Meal Payment Account for Your Student on MySchoolBucks

CBSD utilizes the online platform MySchoolBucks for school meal payments, making it easy to oversee a child's meal choices and maintain their account balance. It is important that an account is created for every student, regardless of whether they take part in school meals or not. You can access MySchoolBucks to view and/or set up an account for your student(s) here. To set up an account, you will need your child(ren)'s student identification number(s), which can be found in the Parent Portal.

The application for free and reduced meal pricing for the 2024-25 school year is now open. Breakfast is available at no charge to students, and lunch costs vary depending on grade level.
